Wireless Leased Lines

Industry-leading radio and microwave technology for flexibility and scalability to grow with your business

Dedicated Bandwidth Without

The Wires

Cheshire Telecom Wireless Leased Lines, provide all the benefits of traditional leased line service, but without the hassle and complexities of installation that can come with wires.

Where leased lines takes 2-3 months to fully install, wireless takes typically last than 25 days. This allows your business to get connected faster, using industry-leading radio and microwave technology, providing flexibility and scalability to grow alongside your business.

Hassle Free & Simple:

Cheshire Telecom wireless connections are serviced by high-rise Point of Presence (PoP) site. Connectivity is always reliant upon line of sight from your building to a PoP. We can confirm the feasibility of providing a service by performing a free survey.

We can install the connection in as little as 5 days (subject to landlord approval). On receipt of order, our operations team will arrange for the installation to be carried out. A small radio dish will be installed on the exterior of the building; the location will be agreed with the building owner or landlord in advance. From here, the appropriate feeder cables will be run to the IT or Server room, or another location as required.

Heres a few reasons why:

Cost savings over fibre circuits – Wireless is based upon a fixed price model, unlike Fibre for which price is dependent upon location. The further you are from a fibre access point, the more expensive and disruptive a subterranean line becomes.

Scalability – We can often upgrade customers to a higher bandwidth rate remotely and in near real-time. Why wait?

Flexibility – As the circuit is delivered over the airwaves, it is easy to relocate should you move site.

No Contention – All our connections are un-contended symmetrical leased lines all the way from your building to the point of lay off inside the World Wide Web

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if its available where my offices are based ?

In order to check to see if wireless leased lines are offered in your area, Cheshire Telecom will arrange an appointment with you to discuss your requirements. We will arrange a desktop survey and if all preliminary outcomes are posistive we will provide your business a proposal.

After agree’ing a price that your happy with, we proceed with the order and request a survey. When we put in a request to survey, we will go to your premises and see if there are any Extra Construction Charges (ECC), to achieve installing our internet connection.

If there are additional ECC’s the following applies:

  • You’re not contractually obliged if the survey comes back and there are additional charges to install the Wireless leased line; you are made aware of the charges and you have the option to say yes you want to proceed or no you don’t want to proceed.
  • You are contractually obliged if there are no additional charges, the order will proceed as a proposal / price has been agreed.

What speeds can a wireless leased line achieve ?

If wireless is available in your office’s area, speeds of 10mbs – 2Gb’s can be achieve, based upon your businesses requirements. The benefits of wireless, is that wireless is location agnostic because the data is carried between two points via an aerial signal which doesn’t lose performance over distance.

We can often upgrade customers to a higher bandwidth rate remotely and in near real-time, so no more engineer visits !

Whats the benefits of using a wireless leased line ?

Wireless leased lines predominantly found success in rural areas where fibre isn’t available, and as a result businesses suffered with slow internet speeds. However, businesses are increasingly using wireless leased lines, as the technology it uses is separate to that of a wired leased line.

  •  Fibre not in your area? –  A wireless leased line can provide speeds of anywhere from 10MB – 2GB at a fraction of the price of a wired leased line.
  •  Diverse Routing – A wired leased line has 99.95% SLA uptime, but worst-case scenarios such as wiring issues or exchange problems can cause businesses to suffer downtime and ultimately lose profit. Diverse routing allows for wireless leased lines to operate on completely different network infrastructure, allowing for your business to remain operational.

Superfast delivery – Cheshire Telecom can install a circuit within 5 working days of receiving an order – that’s about a tenth of the time it takes to install a typical fibre line. With Wireless, our team will come to your site, fit a dish to your building, present the Ethernet connection into your office…and you’re good to go. It’s that simple. No planning permission, no disruption, no delays.

Cost savings over fibre circuits – Wireless is based upon a fixed price model, unlike Fibre for which price is dependent upon location. The further you are from a fibre access point, the more expensive and disruptive a subterranean line becomes. Wireless is location agnostic because the data is carried between two points via an aerial signal which doesn’t lose performance over distance. Its good news all round.

Industry leading support – your service will be backed by unparalleled service level guarantees and the kind of resilience that BT and other legacy network operators simply can’t match.
